ACG Nyström acquires Texmac!
On 1 September 2022, ACG Nyström AB will become the owner of Texmac AB. Both Lars Gustafsson and Claes Bengtsson will continue to work for ACG Nyström. Initially, Lars and Claes will remain in Gällstad, but within six months they will be based at the head office in Borås.
Lars Gustafsson and Claes Bengtsson were both previously employed by ACG Nyström, with Lars starting work at ACG Nyström's office in Ulricehamn in 1980 and Claes in 1987.
In 1990, Claes, Lars and Göran purchased 48% of the Ulricehamn unit, and in 2005 they purchased the remaining 52% of the company, which was then called Symaskinservice. In 2014, Göran Arvidsson retired, and since then Lars and Claes have run the business themselves, while also changing the company's name to Texmac AB.
Lars Gustafsson, co-owner of Texmac:
– I joined ACG Nyström at the age of 18 and have remained in the industry ever since. What has driven me throughout the years is the fantastic development I have been part of and the contact with all customers and suppliers.
Now I am entering a new era with my eyes open to an exciting future, and I look forward to continued good cooperation with customers and suppliers.
Claes Bengtsson, co-owner of Texmac:
– I started in the industry at the age of 20 at Top Print AB in Svenljunga as a technician, where I worked until 1987 when I was hired at ACG Nyström's office in Ulricehamn. I was employed there until 1990, when I helped start Symaskinservice AB. I look forward to rejoining ACG Nyström AB and having a larger organisation behind me.
Thomas Arvidsson, Chief Executive Officer, ACG Nyström AB:
– Lars, Claes and Göran laid the foundation for where I am today, as I was already running around among the industrial sewing machines in Ulricehamn and later in Gällstad at the age of 8-9. I started my career early at Symaskinser-vice (Texmac) and in 2014 I was offered a position at ACG Nyström.
Both Lars and Claes have unique expertise after all their years in the industry, which will make us at ACG Nyström even stronger in the market. I am really looking forward to working with Claes and Lars again.
